OUR TEAM
W. Scott Hinde, CFP®
Scott has spent his career helping people make sense of their financial lives and feel more confident about their decisions. He takes a steady, thoughtful approach and believes financial planning works best when people feel heard, informed, and given the space to make decisions at their own pace.
At Heritage Investments, Scott serves as a Wealth Advisor and is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. His role centers on guiding long-term planning conversations, helping clients think through complex decisions and providing perspective through both calm and uncertain markets.
Scott graduated from the University of Central Missouri and has held his Certified Financial Planner™ designation for more than 30 years. He joined the firm in 1991 and has worked with many clients through multiple stages of life, market cycles, and changing priorities.
What Scott values most is the long-term nature of client relationships. He enjoys working with people over time and being a steady presence as goals evolve and circumstances change.
Outside of work, Scott spends time at Lake Viking with his family, enjoys photography, and plays golf when he can.
David Richmond
David enjoys working with people who want a steady approach to their finances and someone they can trust to walk through decisions alongside them. He brings a practical mindset to his work and believes financial planning should feel straightforward and conversational, not intimidating or overly technical.
As a Financial Advisor at Heritage Investments, David spends most of his time sitting down with clients, listening carefully, and helping them think through real decisions, retirement timing, investments, and the trade-offs that come with them. His focus is on helping clients understand their choices clearly, without pushing decisions before they’re ready.
David graduated from the University of Missouri with degrees in Finance and Real Estate and has worked in financial services since 2005. Over the years, he has built long-standing relationships with clients and stays closely connected to the community he serves.
Outside the office, David enjoys spending time with his wife and children and staying involved in organizations that support the community. He has served on boards for Habitat for Humanity, United Cerebral Palsy, United Way Leadership St. Joseph, the St. Joseph School Foundation, and the St. Joseph Youth Alliance.
Charles Hinde, CFP®
Charles approaches financial planning with intentionality, curiosity, and a strong respect for the responsibility clients place in him. He enjoys digging into the details, thinking through different scenarios, and helping people understand not just what their options are, but why certain choices may make sense for them. He believes great planning works best when it’s clear and realistic, not overcomplicated.
At Heritage Investments, Charles serves as a Wealth Manager and is part of the firm’s Investment Committee. He works closely with clients and the advisory team on investment strategy and long-term planning, bringing a disciplined, analytical mindset while keeping it grounded and practical.
Charles graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Missouri with a degree in Finance and Economics. He began his career at Fidelity Investments where he developed a strong foundation in market analysis and earned his Certified Financial Planner™ designation, before joining Heritage in 2018.
What Charles enjoys most is helping clients think through decisions carefully and seeing how small, disciplined choices can add up over time. He believes good planning comes from understanding the full picture and taking the time to get it right, rather than reacting or chasing quick answers.
Outside of work, Charles enjoys golfing, snow skiing, traveling, and spending time with his family.
